Glassboxx allows audiobooks and eBooks to be sold and fulfilled directly from a publisher’s, retailer’s or author’s own website, with full protection (digital rights management, DRM), and with a smooth and simple end experience for the end customer.
So we’ve split the options into two – we have solutions for clients who already have an eCommerce site (Vendor) – and for those without where Firsty provide the eCommerce piece (Vendor+).
To get going, sign up here and choose either a Vendor or Vendor+ account. Then upload your mp3 files, ePub files, meta data and cover images to the Glassboxx vendor portal, and then embed Glassboxx your website according to the fulfilment option(s) required, using our API, plugins or widgets. (If you’ve got hundred or thousands of titles, no problem, but contact us to discuss other ways we can ingest your content.)
After making their purchase, the end customer is directed to the relevant app store to download and install the Glassboxx app, then login with the email used to make the purchase, and their books are there, ready and waiting for them.
With Vendor clients using their own ecommerce, the end customer buys the audiobook and/or eBook from the checkout on your site. The ecommerce site sends details of the customer and the purchase to Glassboxx using the Glassboxx Sales API, or one of our integration plug-ins.
With Vendor+ clients, a number of ways are available to direct the end customer to the Glassboxx checkout to make their purchase. This can be by using a variety of BUY NOW plugins, a complete bookstore plugin, or by using social media posts generated by Glassboxx.
And with all options, audiobooks and eBooks can be fulfilled with a perpetual licence, on a loan/rental basis or as a subscription.
So once signed up, you have access to the back-end admin portal – where your titles and metadata are housed – and you can manually tweak – although in most cases we expect to simply take a feed and/or ftp.
You can see reporting here – but again, you may not require this. Remember – with Vendor clients, Glassboxx uses YOUR existing eCommerce, so you will be able to see sales of the products go through on your own existing CMS.
